Approached by Creative Director Marilyn Hue, I was tasked with working on the vinyl product and packaging designs and tech pack work for the upcoming AVA MAX album, Diamonds & Dancefloors.
The initial ask was to work with Marilyn’s imagery adding a very pointed diamond, glint, and pink neon emphasis through the vinyl sleeve, jacket, and the color of the vinyl itself. The vinyl is planned to release in a variety of colors including neon pink, silver, ruby, and standard black. The vinyl design and package will run in a limited quantity.
The vinyl standard jacket features AVA’s face with a Diamond in her mouth and surrounding her face creating a sort of portrait look. Creating the custom logo sticker and the release style sticker were both created via references and had a different design and color palette depending on the place it will release (i.e. Amazon, Online Shop, etc).
The inner sleeve that holds the vinyl features a full-body image of Ava standing on a very large diamond and singing into a microphone with the A and B side track lists. The other side shows all tracks and lyrics with credits as a full canvas layout.
